OK, Len - these are the same settings from the beginning - remember?

So where would I look to see if we are referring back out to Sprint, because I *know* that
no where in the config files you set up for us is there any reference to Sprint

Here's the content of their zone...

it ain't their forward zone that is screwed up, it's YOUR reverse zone: ...

dig: Too many lookups

Am I missing something obvious here?

obviously!!

sprint has delegated to you:

# dig 241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa @NS1-AUTH.SPRINTLINK.net. any +norec

; <<>> DiG 9.2.3rc3 <<>> 241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa @NS1-AUTH.SPRINTLINK.net. any +norec

241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN NS ns2.cydian.com.

but you are not setup as AUTH for that zone:

# dig 241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa @ns1.cydian.com. any +norec

; <<>> DiG 9.2.3rc3 <<>> 241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa @ns1.cydian.com. any +norec

34.208.in-addr.arpa. 3881 IN NS NS3-AUTH.SPRINTLINK.net.

They actually handed you the delegation for the zone 241.50.34.208.in-addr.arpa. and, you blew it! :)

your NS is giving a referral to Sprint, who is giving a referall to your NS, which is......

Again, "how" are we giving a referral to Sprint?

Thanks
