Today I ran the dnsreport on our domain and I found a puzzling result in the "Open Relay Test".

I copy/pasted the result here:

Open Relay Test
OK: All of your mailservers appear to be closed to relaying. This is not a thorough check, you can get a thorough one here.

The PASS response that you received means that your mailservers passed the open relay test (a "good" or "OK" response to the test). Since the mailservers appear to be closed to relaying, you probably do not have a problem with an open relay.

s02.lhaarchitects.com OK: 554 SPAM-Relay detected
mailbag.savvis.net OK: 554 : Relay access denied

Those are the responses from your two mailservers, which are saying "Sorry, you're not allowed to relay!". That's a good thing.

So, I ran some tests on our email server and it is NOT an open relay of course, but I am puzzled why the dnsreport still senses some "initial" posibility for us being an open relay.

I think you're mis-interpreting the report. :)
