This works well for people who actually send you messages but then no
postmaster messages concerning delivery problems or automated emails that
are sent from scripts such as bills that you receive via email or password
resets for certain websites etc. will no longer be received...

It is not a good idea to implement this for these reasons. If only real
people composed and sent every valid email that was supposed to be accepted
it would work. But the reality of things is that a lot of valid emails are
generated by scripts running on servers with accounts that do not have
return addresses that get checked so the email would never be approved...

Suggestions?

I understand the initial problems of the autoresponder generating many 
emails but if more people ran these type of things there would be 
little spam getting through. Now with Earthlink doing it can the rest 
of us ignore this? What about AOL? At what point to do take it 
seriously regardless of any logic that may be understood?
