If you show nothing in your logs with an address from them coming in on an SMTPD session then one of 3 things is going on...1) They didn't get a good DNS lookup for your domain  2) netzero is in your SMTP Kill list  or 3) their IP range is in your access control list as being denied access.

Thanks for the info.

I am still hoping for any insight on the NetZero issue. The following is a snipit from the log file for an incoming message from a yahoo address:

I see nothing like this for the NetZero user in question. It is as if his message never even reaches our server. His email works for everyone but us. Is there something wrong on my end, on his local machine, or maybe his ISP (Netzero)?

As for our setup we are running Imail 8.05.  The only antispam boxes checked are, Verify Mail FROM Address and Verify HELO/EHLO. No Blacklists are listed and no content filtering is enabled at the server level. Content filtering is performed on local machines. (A note we have tested this situation with the two check boxes turned off, same result.)

When researching the message going to a NetZero which I listed in my last email, I used the IP address to to set up the block as Trusted and this still did not resolve the issue.

Any help is much appreciated as I have spent several hours racking my brain to understand this problem. Thanks.

Well, the fact that you do not accept e-mail to abuse@ may be part of it.

Can you enlighten me as to what the significance of abuse@ does? and how or why I should set it up?

Have you check the logs?

Yes, there has been no evidence of netzero smtp##.lax.untd.com server ever making contact. Messages can go to Netzero and the log is very detailed about this activity. The netzero customer has resent a message using gmail with no problem. They included the response from the Netzero server. The text in part is as follows:

Return-Path: Sender @ netzero

Recieved: from outbound28-2.lax.untd.com (smtp2.lax.untd.com [IP]) by smtpout02.lax.untd.com with SMTP id AABBDM7AVAMN9... for receiptant @ ourserver; date

Recieved: (qmail 10804 invoked from network); date

Received: from unknown (IP) by smtp02.lax.untd.com with SMTP; date

When comparing the date of this response to the log for that day and time there is no indication the netzero attempted contact. The logs do contain some netzero addresses however it is strongly believed that kaxxtrevvb @ netzero is not a valid user.

What evidence do you have of a problem?

Thank you for your response and any help you can offer on this matter. A side note I have also been made aware that some Hotmail messages are also not getting through.
