Hmm, having followed the conversation about the merits of IIIM vs. SCIM,
and having a need to switch between English and Indic, I thought I'd try
SCIM. Doing a search from Package Manager for scim didn't come up with
anything. Doing `pkg search -r scim' did. I installed SUNWscim &
SUNWscim-tables-india, but didn't change any environment variables (I
was installing in preparation to have a look at a later date). It got
rid of the language switcher from the panel. It got rid of any
alternative languages from System->Preferences->Input Methods, and
basically I couldn't work out how to switch input method when next I
needed to. The only solution I found was `pkg uninstall SUNWscim',
which recovered the situation, and now I can use CTRL-SHIFT-<> to switch
again. I'm sure I'm missing something, but maybe having scim there by
default is not such a good idea ?
