Here's an example of a message that was just denied for having the OS's IP
rather than the one I specify.

mail.mediapost.com = 65.86.193.163 (specified in cfx tag:
SendingIP="65.86.193.163")

Our NT4 sp6a box that's running POST has one NIC with one IP, 65.86.193.165.

said "MAIL FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED]" and mx1.polbox.com responded:

First, look in the log and check to see what IP address the server is
requesting.  Is it the one you are expecting?

Also - how many IPs does the iMS server have?  How many NICs?
