I love the application form http://www.emu.asn.au/downloads/alliance/alliance_membership_form.pdf. Every other membership form I have ever seen, whether having a fee or a donation, has always taken your name before your money!
What are the substantial costs? Shouldn't with-held Mission and Service Fund money cover this? I thought that I had gotten over all of this, and that I was ready to get on with mission and with the rest of my life. Unfortunately almost every conversation that I have with my (Baptist) mother leads me to believe that my family who are in the UC in Narrandera and my church family at Narrandera can not and do not want to accept me in their church, and by way of a petition have said that I am not a member of 'their' Uniting Church (yes, the one which they are thinking about leaving...). It stings, just like that first cricket ball of the season missing your thigh pad, but hitting your thigh (yep, nice looking bruise too!).
