Thanks Greg. In trying to be too brief, I may not have been clear. 

For completeness, since my view on this matter is really secondary to my main point, I 
mean:

* the same standards and criteria should be applied to assess all candidates for 
ministry and all candidates to fill a placement regardless of sexual orientation

And to fend off the next objection:

* for the purposes of any assessment referred to above, "marriage" (the voluntary, 
lifelong union of a male and a female to the exclusion of all others) is equivalent to 
a voluntary, lifelong union of two people of the same gender to the exclusion of all 
others (regardless of whether the latter is called a "marriage" or not).
