Well, I'd have to say, yea..it does, however it is a hack to get NT working on an
inspiron.

Subject: Re: Inspiron 7000
All,
I just subscribed to this list yesterday, and it appears I've alreday
found the info I'm looking for. I've been trying to decide between
buying an Inspiron 7000 and a Gateway Solo 9100. The features I want
are (in order of importance):
1. Multi-Windows OS capability (Runs Win95/98/NT)
2. DVD (I travel 3000 miles a week, spending more than 12 hours on an
airplane, and I wanna watch some movies.)
3. Runs Linux, with PCMCIA and Xwindows capabilities.
It appears that the Inspiron won't work for me, especially if the DVD
is completely incompatible at this point. I don't even know if the
Inspiron will run NT (an help here?)
Any comments or helpful suggestions?
Off topic, does anyone know of a similar list for Gateway Solo
computers?
Thanks for the info, people!
