I just got a 3200 & installed RedHat 5.1 without any problems, I had a 1.1Gb
win95 partition at the start of the disk and added a
127Mb swap partition and also a 4.8Gb user partition.

I must say the documentation is not real good on explaining you need both.
You did add a swap partition as well didn't you?. If not that might be worth
trying.

Also there is a new Xwindows driver on the redhat site.

ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/XFCom/XFCom-neomagic-glibc-2.0.0-1.i386.rpm

get the readme.neomagic from that directory too, it was easy to install, if you
have a
10/100 3com network card the very latest drivers are up (and worked for me) at

ftp://hyper.stanford.edu/pub/pcmcia/NEW/pcmcia-cs.24-Oct-98.tar.gz
