Finally did my hardware reconfig. I originally had a: 250GB IDE PATA onboard single port IDE Master 80GB IDE PATA " " " " Slave 160GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE 500GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE 500GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE DVD-ROM on a dual IDE PCI option card 1st Ch. Master DVD-RAM on a dual IDE PCI option card 1st Ch. Slave
changed it to: 80GB IDE PATA onboard single port IDE Master DVD-ROM on onboard single port IDE Slave 160GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE 500GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE 500GB IDE SATA onboard SATA set as standard IDE DVD-ROM on a dual IDE PCI option card 1st Ch. Master 250GB IDE on a dual IDE PCI option card 1st Ch. Master DVD-RAM on a dual IDE PCI option card 1st Ch. Slave OpenSolaris installed and booted fine. The menu even picked up my Fedora 9 install as a Window$ option. Unfortunately my LVM for F 9 got skrogged so it won't complete the boot for F 9. I guess now's a good time to go for F 10 upgrade. I want to keep the osol as the main boot with a relay secondary boot from the Fedora hard drive. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
