Was this a firmware update for the drive itself? or one for the System?
I can track down the firmware for the system on sunsolve I bet, but does
anyone have any pointers on where to find the drive firmware updates?

Something is still fishy. The SB100 is newer than S8 06/00 isn't it?
I wouldn't think it could have shipped without being able to boot from a
Sun manufactured CD?

Well, I'm off to search for firmware updates....
