actually u could enable the XPDM within the Win7 MD V1.1....
juz download a fresh copy of the V1.1 and find the inf..then search for the
terms "UseXPModel" without quotes...and change the value to 1...poof u got a
XPDM driver with V1.1 performance...

i did not enable this features coz when the driver released last year, the
XP performance issue does not rise...so that's kinda a fixed for the V1.1
with XPDM support..
