"Walk the talk" is a kind of shortened form of a longer expression
which usually goes "you can talk the talk but you can't walk the walk",
a put-down used when somebody is boasting and the speaker doesn't
think he can deliver on the promises. Now "walk the talk" has become
a way of saying "do what you said you would". 

Heaven only knows what the French equivalent would be! Here in
Quebec, I dare say the young francophones who would use the
expression just say it in English.
