As much as i might not have enough Karma to vote, being only involved in tests, but i think git would be a great fit.
I agree with Phillip that we need to address the issues mentioned before if we want to move over, but our community includes guys like Travis Swicegood, who quite literally wrote the book on Git, i'm sure we can count on his help to aid us in sorting those out.
