Greetings,

Frequent readers of this newsgroup will recall earlier discussions we've had
about the status of community initiatives, third party components and
frameworks for Cach and the need to have a "wish list" where people can
issue and vote for their favorite/most needed new features and extensions.

I have put together a Web site as an initial approach to some of these
issues. It is intended to be a community site and as such everyone is
welcome to contribute with wishes, code, documentation, suggestions, etc. I
have posted some preliminary projects and have many more "in queue", some
code has already been written for some projects but I've not published any
code yet. If anyone has ideas of his/her own, by all means let me know!

The site is still quite rough - it seems to be every so often me and my beta
testers came up with new "indispensable" features. I felt it was time to
make it public, but I will keep updating the site as needed and everyone is
welcome to contribute code to this effect.

This message would not be complete without acknowledging a number of close
friends and colleagues who patiently and thoroughly tested the site during
the last month or so, in order to provide a "minimal feature set" version
which is at least (barely?) useable and can be used as a starting point to
foster collaboration and better tools for Cach administration and
development.

I hope everyone out there finds the site useful in some aspect and again,
that people feel it's *their* site and contribute whatever they can to help
shape the future of Cach.

On a different note, I will be rather slow in replying to email throughout
this week. Rest assured, however, that each and every message will be read
and replied to in due course.

Kind regards,

Ramn
