I was talking about the 800N plastrons, i believe those prices are for 350N. I don't care how poor a student you are.... Fine. I wasn't talking about the more experienced fencers, we all end up wearing breeches anyway. The precarious position of a newbie; we're trying to hold on to them, they're still trying to think whether the'd prefer to train with us (and buy breeches for �60ish) or to train with, say, judo or tae-kwan-do on at the same time, when they'd pay NOTHING for equipment with them. Look, i realise your point of view. i DO. Safety first an all. But, travel back to the dawn of time when you were a student. Money (no matter how much!!!!) has a nasty habit of influencing what you do with you time. yeah, 50-60 quid on a great night out with old friends-or on equipment for a sport i'll probably drop in 6 wks anyway..... nah, fuck it, i'm going on a night out. Student mentality guys. Not sayin its right (or smart).
