----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Irish Fencing Forum
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Captain_Owen Message 39 in Discussion Yeah Paul that is seemless. Ken echoes my sentimonies exactely (sic.). We've always used the Irish Open as an introduction to higher level fencing for some of our more promising beginners. With all this breeches malarkey we don't really have that option (that and that we barely have any foils left after Schull). I think if we are to have no beginners at the Open it is imperitive that the IAFF make sure that the proposed novive team foil event in Galway (disscussed at last meeting) goes ahead, or at least a similar event. I got the ball rolling by contacting Duncan and he was very agreeable to the idea. Unfortunately, due to my own commitments (which are too muerous to divuldge) I won't be able to act as liason with NUIG and I feel it is time for the IAFF to make definite plans before the oppurtunity passes us by. Without this it is hard to see them (beginners) keep interest while they are being indirectly excluded from IAFF events. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/IrishFencingForum/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
