I'd like to give people a little bit more time to add preferences, so I propose
we open a vote on the mailing list next Monday.
There, we'll
* list the four (or so) most preferred/mentioned alternatives (or the four
Emma already distilled),
* give people 2 weeks to vote, and
* pick a clear winner (with +2 votes over the runner-up) if it exists
* or vote between the top picks with a simple majority
This may seem a bit long-winded, but a logo design tends to stick around longer
than a release. Hence this proposal.
[~emmak3l], would you like to open the vote on Monday? Or would you rather have
me do this, like I re-opened the discussion by pointing people here?
