It would be helpful to add such additional info to the build instructions in
INSTALL.txt under src/native/unix
By the way, that currently appears to say that the default is 32-bit.
Also, is it still necessary to create the configure script when building from
SVN?
Looks like the script is present already in SVN (and is identical to the one in
the source archive).
