Ted Yu commented on HBASE-11093:
--------------------------------
bq. is it a better path to remove hasFilterRow?
It depends on the target release. For HBase 1.0, I don't think we should do it
- user filters override hasFilterRow(), therefore have to be recompiled.
Post release of 1.0, effort can be spent removing hasFilterRow().
Does this answer your question ?
> FilterList#filterRow() iterates through its filters even though
> FilterList#hasFilterRow() returns false

> FilterList#hasFilterRow() returns false when hasFilterRow() of all of
> constituent filters return false.
> However, FilterList#filterRow() still iterates through its filters in this
> scenario.
> The iteration should be skipped when FilterList#hasFilterRow() returns false.
