   @anuengineer I don't think we need to look into more research papers on 
this. If some developers in the community still prefer to read code in 80 
characters per line, they can comfortably continue to do so with any modern 
text editor or IDE since all of them support soft wrap. Developers can even 
configure soft wrap to 45 characters per line based on their preference. But 
without increasing the character limit to 120 per line, the rest of the 
community is forced to read the code in maximum of 80 characters per line which 
I think is unreasonable. As we can clearly see from this thread, a majority of 
the developers from the Ozone community and other Apache projects lean towards 
increasing the line limit to atleast 120 characters to improve readability. I 
would like to hear your thoughts on why you think soft wrap is not a solution 
that can help all the developers in the community.
