@vivekratnavel I will address that specifically. Concise answer is that
shape of code -- has meaning. The layout implies meaning and is the core
artifact in comprehension. It is not line wrap, it is about crafting meaning in
certain lay and text layout influences that.
There is a well-known study (if I remember correctly, Allen et.al) that
discusses the use of "{" on the same line vs. next line.
The studies result is interesting from the perspective of cognition. That
the "{" that acts as "group" marker, helps deeply with understanding.
Softwarps, completely fail to describe the code, to be honest, using
softwarp-ing actually makes code more harder to understand since the shape of
the code matters a lot. Let me produce relevant articles for you, so you can
read them and understand yourself.
