Well, that didn't seem to fix anything. I'm pointing out that
there is an open source renderer available from which an interested
party could intercept the process at any point and do something.

What is RIP software? Everything I've been suggesting is to make the
PDF related work flow more automated. There is a terrible tendency
to assume humans will be the only readers of documents :)
