Excuse me for a rather vague question last time... The point is I am drawing registration marks using PdfContentByte and PdfStamper (overContent) on incoming original artwork in PDF form. This artwork needs some process like applying a clipping path e.tc.
The problem comes from the fact this incoming original artwork may be 4color CMYL color or CMYL plus Spot colors - one or more spotcolors usually. After my processing with iText is over, the resulting PDF including the newly applied normalized typographers marks i.e TrimBox marks, registration marks and plate info marls (text marks) goes to RIP for production of offset printing plates as usual. So as you know in iText, one can setGrayStroke, setRGBColorStroke, or setCMYKColorStroke with equivalent results. What I need is setting a stroke for the lines (and text) that will separate in all plates generated from the composite color PDF I produce with iText after it is ripped and color separated I could also define stroke in spot color, if I could know before hand what spotcolors are included each time in each original artwork I accept for process, though this is not an option... To cut a long story and excuse me if I am mistaken: I don't see any way in iText as it is today, to define the stroke in what PDF 1.7 Reference defines in special colorSpaces as "Separation" colorSpace with 'All" as a name parameter for the colorant (According also to your original reply last year) So before me buying consulting services let's make sure that I overlooked something :) I hope I made myself clear this time thanks George Leonard Rosenthol-3 wrote: > > Not sure what your question is... > > If you are unable to get separation black working today, then you will > need to modify iText in order to get it.
