Some more info: Reference hardware (VTC1010), reference kernel (bzImage_ivi) and reference image (tizen-ivi-core-image-dev-valleyisland-32.ext3) (links found on the wiki https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Build_Tizen_with_Yocto_Project) , but black screen when weston starts. Weston is running and its logs look ok : (See attached file: genivi-weston.log)
The most promising hint is this one :
libEGL warning: wayland-egl: could not open /dev/dri/card0 (Permission
denied)
It appears many times on tty1 (but not in dmesg, and not in journalctl)

One potential problem can be that weston tries to render to the wrong
(non-existing) display. To eliminate this as a source of problems it is
best to turn that explicitly off in the weston config file. Have you
tried adding
[output]
name=LVDS1 (check the correct name for this from the weston logs)
mode=off
/etc/xdg/weston/weston-genivi-modello.ini,
or /etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini ?
