I didn't give the whole story. :) You're grounding question reminded me of the circumstances of the tuner's demise. We had a storm. Power surges and probably some sort of hit caused my computer to shutoff and from then on the tuner wouldn't work (my computer also was flaky for a while, now it is working fine though) I don't know how to check if the cable is grounded, but most likely it isn't. I had thought of running the cable through a surge protector, but wasn't sure how much drop that would cause on the cable line.
