Success here! I built a proper 2.6.10 kernel, rebuilt ivtv, did "modprobe
ivtv" and now I'm getting video from the tuner and composite inputs. Haven't
tried audio or S-video yet.

I added "options tuner type=50" to /etc/modules.conf. Also, when running "make
install" from ivtv-0.3.2a/driver I *ignored* the warning suggesting that I use
the ivtv module instead of the one that comes with the kernel;

"You appear to have a /lib/modules/2.6.10/kernel/drivers/media/video/msp3400.ko.
That can cause a conflict with the msp3400.ko from ivtv.
It is wise to remove /lib/modules/2.6.10/kernel/drivers/media/video/msp3400.ko.
After that run depmod again."

I don't know if it was that or the kernel rebuild that solved the problem, but
it sounds suspiciously similar to Greg's problem.

                                             Jim
