I have run into this several times - it's almost always been a case of the modules load order -
Most docs say that you should only have to do modprobe ivtv - and all should be well - In my experience I almost always have to load some other portion to get it to work - Also try restarting your myth backend right before you load the frontend (sounds weird but this fixed something for me in the past) Also Try this - After boot - look at your dmesg | grep ivtv If any one piece is failing - try loading that module by itself and see what happends i.e. Modprobe tveeprom Modprobe cx25840 (or whatever module your card uses) Modprobe cx88xx Modprobe ivtv Something else to check is that you have told your PVR the right ivtvctl options for input etc try checking different inputs and see if there is any change. Make sure you are using NTSC or PAL depending on your setup. Send over some debug for more info - Hope this helps - Edward -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ricardo Kleemann Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 10:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ivtv-devel] Fw: [UNKNOWN CARD] please help PVR-150 only getting b&w video Hi, ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rudy Zijlstra" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 17, 2005 4:23 PM Subject: Re: [ivtv-devel] Fw: [UNKNOWN CARD] please help PVR-150 only getting b&w video > Mark Knecht wrote: > > >On 7/17/05, Rudy Zijlstra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > >>>>I have a PVR-150MCE, and I've tried both 0.2 and 0.3 drivers, but all > >>>>I ever get is b&w video. Should the tuner output be within the IVTV output, or does it appear outside? Any suggestions on options I should try?
