Port2 is only used for automatic gain control monitoring (VIF-AGC)
when that is turned on in the E register. Likewise, port1 is only used
for external automatic gain control setting when enabled in the E
register. The E register in tda9887.c is configured to NOT use either
port for AGC and use them as "port function".
This labeling is also irrelevant as when VIF-AGC monitoring is
enabled, port2 must be set disabled (port2=1) which is the opposite of
enabling the output with port2=0 (ref: Note 1 under table 15, tda9887
datasheet).
That's why I didn't include that information in my A4, since no
current codepath in ivtv sets E7=1 (cAgcOutON) or enforces the Port2
high impedence (cOutputPort2Inactive) for that configuration.
