I have had success with the ivtv-firmware package from atrpms.net. You may want to try adding it to your Fedora Core installation. It does cause a warning in the ivtv dmesg output, but see my other post on that issue.

I've been searching on google for days, and through the list archives. I've seen that I'm not the only one having this problem, but none of the fixes I've seen have worked for me. I copied the firmware files from the ivtv site, and set the permissions wide open.
