I'd recommend it, because it worked for me. I'm not sure why you were trying to install ivtv-kmdl for a Xen kernel, unless, of course, you're running a Xen virtual machine. First though, if I were you, I'd just remove all the existing ivtv stuff because it doesn't seem to be working properly. yum remove ivtv* You can stay with your existing 2080 kernel if you wish, and simply execute yum --enablerepo=atrpms install ivtv ivtv-kmdl-`uname -r`.
