Yes, always keep your system up to date. ATrpms supports only the
latest kernel (and sometimes the one before that to allow a smooth
upgrade) per distribution.

okay...i did that...and when i tried to
/sbin/modprobe ivtv
i got FATAL: ivtv module not present
so i rebooted...not sure if that will do anything since i'm at work and can't dial back in...
