hmmm...okay thanks...
well about a month ago i posted on here...i was getting a firmware loading failure no such file or directory even tho the kernel could clearly see the firmware file and directory...i posted it on here to no avail...
no i've yum removed *ivtv and then yum install ivtv...removes and reinstalls fine...but when i modprobe ivtv i get FATAL: no ivtv module...so i've once again yum remove *ivtv...so i guess we can start fresh...i'm sort of a newb at the linux commands...so what do you suggest i do first?

What's the firmware error? Did you clean everything out, download the
new stuff, make sure it was in the correct location, et cetera.
I was fighting install issues after an FC3 to FC4 upgrade last
week...give some more details of what you are seeing and the steps
you've done to ensure you don't have old stuff on your box and we can
go from there.
