Axel, the FC6 kernel RPM has a whole slew of failed dependencies (initscripts 
and such) that I am not willing to update for fear of breaking too many other 
things. I suspect the RHEL5 kernel will have the same problems. Good idea 
though. I think compiling the kernel source is going to be my best bet.
