The ivtv-tune problem is unrelated to the new MPEG encoder API. It was a
field in the v4l2_frequency struct that was uninitialized. Basically
the frequency change could be ignored or the tuner could flip to radio
mode, depending on what the uninitialized value turned out to be. It
was fixed in ivtv-0.6.3 and 0.4.6. The ivtv-0.7 and up versions already
had the fix to begin with. Newer ivtv-tune versions will work with
older ivtv versions.
