That looks fine to me. When I do what you suggested, this is all I see:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/josh# tail -f /var/log/messages Jun 19 09:59:57 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 10:19:57 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 10:39:57 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 10:59:57 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 11:19:58 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 11:39:58 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 11:59:58 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 12:19:58 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 12:39:59 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- Jun 19 12:59:59 Dell-8200 -- MARK -- and on my other terminal (where I changed the channel) this is what I see: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ivtv-tune -c 10 /dev/video0: 193.250 MHz [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ivtv-tune -c 11 /dev/video0: 199.250 MHz I didn't see any change on the first terminal. So does that mean there were no errors, or does it mean the check on the first terminal window isn't doing what you expected? On 6/19/07, Sander Sweers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

I believe the firmware version is .2007217. Open a terminal and type: tail -f /var/log/messages (or point it to where your distro puts the kernel messages). Now open another terminal and try to change to a channel. Check if you see any error messages in the first terminal. The init below looks ok. Which program are you using to tune, ivtv-tune?
