I am running CoolAndQuiet and I have SMP as well. I did experience
this with the ivtv-0.10.X series and the in kernel ivtv up to kernel
version 2.6.22 (when DMA was on). But since late December I have been
running the bleeding edge driver and it does not have that problem for
me.
