The intent to create a 'useful' set of libraries, with "Documentation" to support them, seems to been replaced by new goals. Jaluino libs, starter pack workarounds, etc. Back when Eur was active on this project, documentation was a very high priority, as it should still be. I personally, as a jalV2 newbie, am still trying to 'understand' how to use jalV2 productively and have have read everything I can find to assist me. I want to contribute but am still not sure of my ability to do so. I started programming back in 1975 on a PDP8. I am not new to programming, just having a problem doing it in Jal. > I see Jallib as an independent development and would like to keep it > that way. I have the English version of Bert's book, which I purchased because I 'thought' it would help in learning the language. I found it was only meant to be a "Projects" book and a primer on Bert's libraries. Admittedly, I did learn some things I have not seen explained in the Jallib Docs. As others have said, what is needed is a book on jalV2 using examples based on Jallib's and the sample.jal files would be a huge step forward for the language. As I am not an Author, I leave that to you younger, more adventurous people. I can/will help in any effort to achieve the goal of a better understanding of JalV2/Jallib. > Since the Jallib developers are mostly experienced PIC programmers > feedback from beginners is very welcome!
