So far I haven't given much feedback on this subject, mainly because I'm
not convinced by the arguments for a conversion tool. But maybe better
when I give my opinion here than letting the developments stray away in
a direction which I do not appreciate.....

I see Jallib as an independent development and would like to keep it
that way. So far I've had pleasure in working for Jallib, but I don't
want to be bothered by conversion issues people may have when coming
from another 'discipline'.
I think that people who started with Bert's book but got stuck in the
shortcomings of Bert's approach and want to switch to Jallib should find
all they need in the Jallib documents, readme's and comments in the
sources. I can understand that these people have some difficulties with
the switch, but I see this as a shortcoming of our documentation, and a
'super-include' or something alike doesn't solve that problem (on the
contrary!).
Since the Jallib developers are mostly experienced PIC programmers
feedback from beginners is very welcome! If a conversion guide is
desired these people are the first I think of for writing such a guide,
and I'm prepared to help these people with such a document (and
everybody else to understand Jallib) and to improve our documentation.
But when people are too lazy to study our docs or to convert their
programs to Jallib convention: pity, good luck with finding something
better!

Regards, Rob.
