No replacement here. We'll keep producing libs and docs. For instance, next
big piece is about ADC libraries being refactored. A post on jalliblog is
being prepared, explaining some new aspects on this lib.

As for Jaluino, you probably know by reading this group that this is a
project I want to setup for quite a long time, long before this discussion.
It's not a new goal for jallib, it's a new project, based on jallib (like
USB board and LCD interface). I strongly believe in the benefits of sharing
hardware knowledge, as we've been able to do with jallib for the software
part (remember, there were no common place to share code, no centralized
libs & samples, before jallib). In the current context of this discussion,
about making things easier, having a Jaluino project really could help too.
Educational benefits, but far more ! One reason Arduino is so popular is
because it's plug and play. Everyone can have fun with it. Why ? Because
it's easy to use, well documented, but, most importantly, bullet n°1 top
priority: they don't have to deal with hardware problems ! And as far as
I'm concerned, facing hardware problems is not a piece of cake, particularly
when you know very few.

As for starterpack workaround, there's been a lot said, and my opinion on
this is becoming clearer. For me, there's no starterpack workaround. I don't
believe in a migration/conversion guide, because there are legal issues.
Period. That said, I understand there's a clear need to make jallib easier
to use. Will I ignore this ? I just can't, and want to provide options. What
can we do ? How far can/should we go to make jallib easier to use ? They may
not provide something as easy as expected (all things being defaulted), but
through an elegant and well thought compromise (:)), I'm sure we can do
better. And without sacrificing its power and flexibility.

And it's still the case ! I do my best to post things on jalliblog, as easy
(and hopefully fun) as possible to read. With photos, schematics, videos, so
people can know how it looks like for real. I regularly invite people to
contribute. Everybody can contribute.

When I say everybody can contribute to the documentation, to the knowledge,
I mean it, *everybody*. Being a newbie or not.

As a newbie (so you say), what did you learn today ? Did you experiment
something interesting ? Did you use that "count" instruction for the first
time, for instance ? Did you have problems ? What tips & trick were you able
to identify ? And you want to keep all of this for yourself ? Don't you want
to share it ? Do you think it doesn't worth it, because after all you're a
newbie and everybody already knows what you know ? Well, I'll be glad to
read you, really, because I'm sure I'll learn things, and it'll give me
ideas.

And, you probably know it, the benefits of writing are huge, you must clear
any doubts. That's why it's long, that's why it can sometime be hard, and
that's why you can finally get a lot of benefits from this activity. But
this is a bit off topic...

Still, everybody can contribute on this aspect :)

Cheers,
Seb
