The intention of this project is to compliment JALV2, not compete.
Some projects need 32-bit cpu, higher speeds, more flash, more ram,
etc.

Looking at Wouter's web shop, you'll see various ARM 32-bit cpus and
boards available. Olimex and Sparkfun also offer 32-bit solutions.
If you wanted to stay with Microchip, check out the 16-bit and 32-bit
processors - dsPIC 24F and 30F, and also the PIC32MX. All of these
have very similar if not identical peripherals as the 16F and 18F --
UARTS, timers, SPI, CAN, etc, and may be a nice upgrade for bigger JAL
projects, and may be desirable to support with JALLIB libraries.

Another idea (probably crazy) is to run JAL natively on any PC -
Windows, Linux, etc, or on small open-source routers. Could it become
another popular scripting language? You can probably think of better
uses for JAL that I ever could.
