If you use the byte-funtion, you'll get an 8-bit result regardless of
the setting.
If you use the word-funtion, you get an 10-bit result. However, when
8-bit conversion is selected, the lower 2 bits are zero.

I have with the new adc library.
AD conversions is kind of elementary, so why doesn't this work?
It works for me when I set the adcon registers myself.
And how to debug it??
Print the value of the relevant (adcon) registers and check their
settings with the datasheet.
