It is experimental in my book. And it will remain marked as experimental
until the majority of Committers are convinced that it is not. At this
time, I am prepared to say that no protocol can be marked as other than
experimental until it passes an Committer approved test suite. I
grandfather SMTP and POP3 for now.

You have the code in your hands. Review it. I am told that OE 6 works with
that patch applied, but I have not tested it myself. If it doesn't fix all
problems, and no one else deals with it, I will look at it upon returning to
my office next year.
