I'll put a comment in the config file that the protocol is still
experimental, and disabled by default. I would have prefered to also put in
that 3 line patch, but neither you or Harmeet want to do so, so I'll commit
it after the release, and start providing semi-nightly builds as we continue
maintenance on v2 releases.
