        You probably do not need the JSDK if you have the JDK 1.2.x or higher,
which *includes* the JSDK, but it's not necessarily the 2.0 version of the
JSDK, which is crucial to the correct operation of JServ. I managed to get the
following running a few months ago:

JDK 1.1.7 (Blackdown? I cannot remember)
Apache 1.3.12 (compiled with DSO support)
Apache JServ 1.1.1b1 (beta version one of version 1.1.1)
SuSE 6.4
JSDK 2.0 -- Matthew's right - you must use exactly the 2.0 version JSDK if you
are using JServ.
