Hi Nathan,

  Bug 4426258 - D3D: Texture size truncated to
                dwMaxTextureWidth/Height if it is too big

is submited for this. One solution is to resize the
big texture internally back to the limit
dwMaxTextureWidth/Height for processing.

Note that for OpenGL version, it is handle by the
driver itself.
