This might be a bug related to Appearance. If you turn the anti-aliasing
"pointAttrib.setPointAntialiasingEnable( false )" to false, and see if your
problem goes away. This work around was provided by "Kelvin" fron Sun
and hope this bug will be fixed in FCS.

One way to verify it is to use DirectX Java3d version to run you program.
If the problem goes away, this would confirm the bug is caused by the one
mentioned above.
