I'm not sure if x3d really will start a revival of VRML. Somehow I get the feeling no one is really interested in X3D, otherwise I can't think why there isn't even one decent player which can play X3D nativ (nativ means by not transforming it to VRMLxx). So all the major players in the IT-business don't seem to care any bit of X3D it seems.
