Just been looking at the new java community site over at www.java.net,
which apart from being a poor shade of the former www.javagaming.org,
doesn't actually seem to mention Java3D as a project at all?

Is this because Java 3D isn't going to be an open project, or is Java 3D
not going to get continued support?

I'm not drawing any conclusions, did I just miss Java 3D?

From what I saw at JavaOne they are not dropping Java3D, but they are
working on making a java 3d implementation work on mobile devices. I saw
a really cool demo of a ski jump game on a nokia cell phone. <g>

For game developers there is a suggestion to use the new Java Open GL
bindings rather than using Java3D for games similar to Quake.
